White Noise… what is it? Is it used for testing musical equipment or to help people suffering from sleep problems or concentration issues? Or can it possibly be a source for communicating with Ghosts and Spirits?
Wikipedia.com claims White Noise to be ” a random signal (or process) with a flat power spectral density. In other words, the signal contains equal power within a fixed bandwidth at any center frequency “. Now a theory states that a Ghost or Spirit uses a vast amount of energy to either cross over into our domain or even to communicate with sensitives and those with medium capabilities. So does this mean that if given a flat source of High Pitch Electrical Frequencies such given by White Noise may allow a Spirit an easier way to speak with us? Hmmmm…possibly. If the theory is correct, than why not right?
Well now before you rush off to Wal-Mart to snatch yourself the latest in portable radio’s and TV’s, ask yourself, can this be a logical source for Paranormal Evidence? My answer to that question is… maybe… if done correctly.
For instance take a good long look into the White Noise Picture you see to your left. Can you see something? If a Television set is showing Static with a White Noise Audio, most likely you will begin to see shapes of whatever your imagination creates. Now if you were to record your experience with a VHS or DVD recorder it still may not be creditable due to the fact that your eyes will find what your brain tells you to find. So White Noise Evidence collected on a Television screen rarely can give you the answers you seek unless carried out as professionally as possible with multiple and I stress MULTIPLE recording applications to distinguish what is real and what Skeptics can claim as Fraudulent. As an experiment, you will need an Audio recorder and Two camcorders. Position your Audio in between you and the TV. Place One camcorder over your shoulder in focus with the TV, the other camcorder must be far enough away to capture all individuals involved plus the TV to ensure there is no tampering involved. Of course in the age of computers, anything can be re-created. So this is why TV Static is possible but difficult to supply creditable evidence.
But let’s say you have a portable radio handy right now, go ahead and turn it on, switch to a station that gives off White Noise (a station that is NOT playing anything), now concentrate and listen carefully… what do you hear? 9/10 times if you do actually hear something, it will most likely be either a faint speech or music. Now the problem with that is NO it is not somebody’s Great Aunt making contact with you but most likely it is DJ John Doe from WKRP in Cincinnati that your radio signal is faintly picking up on. Even if you think you are hearing the slightest word, it is probably the closest station to you. Radio Frequencies come from all directions, so the chances of you accidentally picking up on a Spirit I-Phone is slim.
Now to correctly run experiments using White Noise with a Radio is much related to experiments conducted using Audio Recorders for E.V.P. To successfully capture a Spirit Voice you must always run a Q&A while a recording device is used. This way you eliminate all false Radio signals you may pick up while using a Radio Station as your source. Therefore if this is done and your recording source can actually be audible than I see no reason why a White Noise Generator can not be used in a Paranormal Investigation… whether it helps or not will always be argued.
What occurs when you are focused on something giving off a highly hypnotic tool such as White Noise is usually people get so tired and drowsy that they tend to find words when there really was nothing there. It’s the common case of mistaken identity… I thought I heard something?… I’m pretty sure i did?…I think it was a mans voice that said “Get Out”, right?. Most of the time like everything else in the Paranormal World… it was most likely a figment of our imagination.
Remember to always ask questions… if you receive a distinct answer… you may have captured yourself a White Noise E.V.P…
…but that’s just my opinion…
