G.R.I.M Union Investigation
Case #100814 | Lloydtown Cemetery
Location History:
The Wesleyan Methodist Pioneer Cemetery of Lloydtown has been around since 1834 when it was donated by Jess Lloyd, a leader in the Rebellions of 1837. Jesse’s daughter, Hannah Stodgill died at the age of seventeen in 1834 during a particularly brutal childbirth through which her daughter, Phebe, lived. Hannah is said to now wander the cemetery dressed in a long black cloak looking down on the headstones to try and find the child she never knew. This story is right out of John Robert Columbo’s Mysteries of Ontario and is also compliments of TorontoGhosts.org.
Team Investigators:
Matt, Andrew & Sonya
Date/ Time of Investigation:
Aug. 14 2010 10:30pm-12:00pm
Equipment Used:
Stealth Cam, 2 Audio Recorders, EMF Meter and Photo Camera.
Case Log:
Unfortunately Shannon could not make it to this investigation so a brief case evaluation is all that can be given.
Both Andrew & Sonya believed to have seen shadows on separate occasions walking in the distance very quickly. Once seen, the team immediately made an attempt to capture these possible shadows. Nothing was found. Noises were heard from all members throughout the night but due to the lack of visibility and the surrounding trees, homes and creek, the team was not able to determine these noises as paranormal so they were assumed to be sounds from animals and resident backyards.
All in all it was a good night; the weather was predicted to be thunderous but remained extremely clear until around 11:30pm. Unfortunately no audio or photo evidence was captured, but that is always expected within a cemetery hunt.
The G.R.I.M Union has made 4 total investigation attempts on this site and has never captured any evidence nor felt any paranormal conclusive experiences. This location is still determined as Non-Active.
